Hello lovely readers and welcome to another issue of Your Herts and Beds Wedding. Firstly, I want to say congratulations on your engagement! In this magazine, you’ll find plenty of top tips, advice and wedding inspiration to make the planning experience more straightforward – we know how overwhelming this process can be without any help or guidance.
It’s no secret summer is a time of year perfect for weddings with colourful seasonal flowers and more daylight for those all-important photos. More outdoor spaces can be utilised with guests playing lawn games or having cocktails while soaking up the sun and enjoying clear skies!

Essendon Country Club
Situated in more than 400 acres of stunning Hertfordshire countryside, Essendon Country Club is the perfect venue for weddings. A dedicated wedding planner will support couples every step of the way to ensure they receive their dream day.
As guests enter the long driveway, they’ll travel through one of the two championship golf courses on-site, which offers a picturesque landscape for wedding photography. The large bridge across the lake, surrounded by woodland trees, is a firm favourite for the all-important couple shots.
The beautiful 16th-century Grand Barn contains oak framing, rustic features and large windows allowing plenty of natural daylight. There’s even a stunning terrace for drinks receptions where guests can enjoy the views and relax outside.
As no two weddings are the same, the venue offer flexibility and bespoke tailored packages to accommodate any ideas, requirements and style of wedding.
All areas at the venue are licensed for a ceremony, but the Grand Barn’s upper level is this main space that can accommodate 180 loved ones while the glass conservatory is the perfect option for intimate ceremonies with 15 to 30 people.
Receptions are held in the Main Barn with 130 seated guests and 300 for the evening celebrations. Many couples use the upper barn level for a seated wedding breakfast for 80 people.
