April/May 2022

Hello lovely readers, and welcome to another issue of Your Herts and Beds Wedding. As the weather warms up and the daffodils start peeping through, it’s time to welcome spring with open arms. We’re one step closer to summer, and although I’m dreaming of those beach days soaking up the sun, spring is such a special time of year. I love being in nature surrounded by blooming flowers and as a huge animal lover, I’m so excited for adorable animals to be born!

The time of year is perfect for exchanging vows, and we can begin utilizing outdoor spaces for the “I dos”, drinks receptions, garden games, chill out areas and more.

As we get closer to July, I can’t help but get even more excited for my colleague Melissa to tie the knot to the lovely Dave. As a bridesmaid, I’ve loved supporting my close friend and helping her prepare for such an important day – I can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle! I’ve found my perfect attire, a sage green cold-shoulder dress, and all I need now is to find those perfect finishing touches.

We’ve worked hard this issue to provide you with plenty of inspiration, top tips, dreamworthy gowns, picture-perfect venues and more. It doesn’t matter if you’re at the start of your wedding journey or looking for those last-minute touches – we’ve got you covered.

That’s all from me; now sit back, relax and celebrate anything and everything wedding.

Happy planning!

Woodland Manor House

Located on four acres, the Woodland Manor House is a historical property that dates back to the 1800s and offers lovebirds the perfect location to tie the knot.

Arrive in style with the venue’s helipads at the rear of the property and wow guests with a dramatic entrance that will get everyone talking for years to come.

The house features large-bay windows, a grand entrance proudly displaying the Fitzpatrick family crest and climbing shrubbery – it really is the ideal backdrop to events. A dedicated wedding coordinator is on hand throughout the planning journey to help and support couples.

With multiple function rooms, each with traditional-high ceilings, original fireplaces and modern touches, couples can choose the perfect location to match different wedding themes. Say “I do” in the property’s largest room, the Autograph Suite, which leads straight out onto the garden terrace. The space features a full-length bay window, a marble fireplace and can also be used for receptions with 119 people. Or why not exchange vows in the Library or the Conservatory surrounded by 30 loved ones? These areas are excellent options for intimate nuptials and can also be hired for extra reception space in the evenings if needed. For more grand affairs, couples can hire a marquee to use in the garden area.

The original house has been extended by adding extra on-site accommodation for guests, so loved ones won’t have to worry about travelling home after the celebrations. Guests can retreat to the 34 bedrooms, including a stunning bridal suite and a small cottage on the grounds with three rooms.

Al fresco celebrations with Morley Stove Company Ltd

At Your Herts and Beds Wedding, we were intrigued by this wood-burning stove featured in one of our issues. The piece would work perfectly at any rustic or outdoor wedding and is such a fun alternative to firepits. We got in touch with Nicola Adam's at Morley Stove Company Ltd to learn more about the company and what they offer. Located in Ware, the family-run business first started in the '70s. Fast forward to now, the team is excited to announce that they're the new official retailer of the beautiful cooker branch Lacanche, with some items now on display in the company's showroom.
