As editor of Your Herts & Beds Wedding I see lots of gorgeous big-day celebrations. To do this job you have to love weddings and I truly do – each and every one of them. From the bride and groom’s love story through to the oodles of inspiration that gets shared along the way. As I create these features I smile, laugh, shed a happy tear and I hope you get as much out of reading them as I do writing them.
It’s not just about the day itself for me; it’s also about the excitement during the build up and the post-wedding reflections. If you’re just starting out on your planning journey make the most of it; the fun shopping trips with your best girls, the nerve-wracking meetings with your suppliers, the hours spent researching – who knew there were so many shades of grey and when did foliage go from being a simple green leaf to 30 different varieties?
This is now your life for the next few months or maybe even years so embrace it, enjoy it and plan one heck of a celebration! I’m excited to welcome you into my dreamy world of weddings!

The Shire London Golf Club
Set within the Seve Ballesteros Masters golf course, The Shire London is a contemporary venue with the added bonus of stunning surroundings. The self-contained suite at The Shire can cater for 150 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 200 for the evening party, and benefits from its own bar, private entrance and panoramic views across the course.
Ceremonies of up to 80 loved ones take place in a private room and outdoor refreshments can be hosted on the terrace. The landscape provides the perfect backdrop for the all-important wedding pics and there’s ample parking for guests.
