We put Bioeffect's rejuvenating handcare routine to the test

Frequent hand washing throughout the day can cause dry, tired hands. BSo, Bioeffect has put together a simple two-step rejuvenating hand care routine to nourish and revive your working hands. One to two times a week, indulge in this repairing handcare routine to relax and take care of your busy, hard-working hands.

Like all of us, I've been washing my hands with a ferocity that would make Lady Macbeth proud, and my poor hands have been suffering, so I was eager to try this out...

Step 1: Brighten & Revive

Massage a pea-sized amount of Bioeffects's Volcanic Exfoliator into damp hands. This formulation includes all-natural Icelandic micro-crystalline lava and ground apricot seeds to smooth skin and soften hands. Using gentle, circulation motions, focus your massage on the tops of your hands and around the nails to slough away any dry, dead skin to reveal brighter skin.

You really don't need loads for it to do it's work. I've been finding that, even now the warmer weather is setting in, it's my knuckles that are still suffering. So, if you're the same be sure to give them a really good scrub with the exfoliator. My hands felt smoother right away, even before the moisturising step.

Step 2: Nourish & Repair

Apply a pump of Bioeffect's Body Intensive into the palm of your hands. Massage this serum into your hands not forgetting to give some attention to your cuticles and between the fingers. Formulated with glycerin to moisturise and our plant-based EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), it is the ideal formula to rejuvenate the hands of any skin type to look and feel healthy and fresh. Its gel-like silky texture makes it easy to absorb into the skin so you can get back to your daily activities with hydrated hands, right away.

The texture of this product is quite thin, unlike your standard handcream, so don't do what I did the first time and let it slip right off your hand onto the floor! The benefit of this texture is that it sinks right in to your newly exfoliated skin and gives an immediate softening effect without leaving a greasy residue. Your hands will breathe a sigh of relief and it's an effect that lasts. It's advised you follow the same pattern with this treatment as you would your usual facial exfoliation routine, one to two times a week. I recommend your 'W' days - Wednesdays and weekends. And that's all that's needed to keep your hands soothed and able to bear the current rigorous handwashing routine!

I love it, and willl definitely carry on using it. Enjoy!
