April/May 2022

Hello lovely readers, and welcome to another issue of Your Herts and Beds Wedding. As the weather warms up and the daffodils start peeping through, it’s time to welcome spring with open arms. We’re one step closer to summer, and although I’m dreaming of those beach days soaking up the sun, spring is such a special time of year. I love being in nature surrounded by blooming flowers and as a huge animal lover, I’m so excited for adorable animals to be born!

The time of year is perfect for exchanging vows, and we can begin utilizing outdoor spaces for the “I dos”, drinks receptions, garden games, chill out areas and more.

As we get closer to July, I can’t help but get even more excited for my colleague Melissa to tie the knot to the lovely Dave. As a bridesmaid, I’ve loved supporting my close friend and helping her prepare for such an important day – I can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle! I’ve found my perfect attire, a sage green cold-shoulder dress, and all I need now is to find those perfect finishing touches.

We’ve worked hard this issue to provide you with plenty of inspiration, top tips, dreamworthy gowns, picture-perfect venues and more. It doesn’t matter if you’re at the start of your wedding journey or looking for those last-minute touches – we’ve got you covered.

That’s all from me; now sit back, relax and celebrate anything and everything wedding.

Happy planning!

Editor, Olivia x

Offley Place Country House Hotel

Surrounded by 27 acres of manicured lawns, Offley Place Country House Hotel is a 17th-century manor house that has been lovingly restored to create the perfect location for weddings.

Ceremonies can take place in multiple locations at the hotel. Licensed for up to 120 guests, The Conservatory offers an elegant setting with rustic brickwork and sparkling chandeliers. The newest addition to the venue is The Hester Ballroom, which can host 250 guests for grand and stunning events. Every aspect of this location has been designed to create memorable experiences with no detail overlooked. Or why not exchange vows in The Salusbury Lounge, a warm and intimate setting for 40 guests? The grandeur of the room will add charm and elegance to all kinds of celebrations.

Is there anything more romantic than getting married in a garden full of flowers? The Rose Garden can accommodate 40 guests and offers an idyllic setting with colourful and vibrant blooms – it really is the perfect place for couples to start their journey together. Receptions occur in The Conservatory for 78 people or in The Hester Ballroom for 250.

The grand staircase and stunning tiered chandelier not only look great in photographs, but leads to the hotel’s 16 luxury bedrooms – perfect for guests to retreat to after dancing the night away. The venue offers menu tasting sessions for exclusive-use weddings and a complimentary stay for couples in the beautiful Bridal Suite on the night of their wedding.
