February/March 2023

Hello lovely readers, and welcome to another issue of Your Herts and Beds Wedding.

This year we’re already seeing showstopping nuptials around the counties with stunning touches and heartwarming moments.

As we look to the year ahead, I can’t wait to see weddings feature Pantone’s colour of the year – viva magenta. The shade will undoubtedly impact the industry thanks to its bold and empowering hue.

Congratulations if you’ve just got engaged over the festive period! If I could share one piece of advice for wedding planning, it would be to ensure the day refl ects you both – don’t get sidetracked trying to please others. Planning your big day should be a fun experience where you fi nd a theme you both love, a colour scheme to complement your day, a showstopping venue and talented companies who can bring your vision to life.

There’s a reason traditional weddings have been popular for decades. The classic styling, grand settings and formal attire will always create elegant nuptials year-round. But expect to see more couples breaking away from tradition in 2023 and pushing the boundaries.

If you don’t know where to start with the planning process, you’re in luck as we’ve been busy sourcing the very best local suppliers to provide top inspiration. Expect to see talented fl orists, photographers, bakers, videographers, venue stylists and more.

That’s all from me! I hope you enjoy reading this magazine as much as I‘ve loved putting it together.

Here’s to another year of fabulous weddings!

Olivia, Editor.

The Manor not only has plenty of parking available but is located near major motorways and airports – perfect for guests travelling in.

As loved ones drive through the breathtaking parkland, they’ll approach the stunning property that features Victorian elegance paired with modern touches. The dedicated wedding team will be on hand to assist with all aspects of the planning progress by providing a professional and personal service. Couples can rest assured they’re in safe hands.

Whether pairs are after intimate weddings or grand events, Shendish Manor won’t disappoint. Couples can have dreamworthy al fresco weddings on the charming grounds thanks to the two stunning outdoor gazebos that are licensed for ceremonies. Or they can exchange vows in the Apsley Suite, Dickinson Suite or Longman Suite with 10 to 320 guests.

When it comes to wedding breakfasts, the first meal for newlyweds must be unforgettable. That’s why the team offers delicious dishes created using the finest and locally sourced ingredients, accompanied by an extensive range of wines and champagnes. The dry hire package in the Apsley Suite is perfect for those with a particular cuisine in mind that the venue can’t cater for. The team also have a long-lasting relationship with many local caterers and can suggest companies if needed.

The property dates back to 1853 and has 18 individually designed bedrooms in the main house. The contemporary extension has an additional 52 bedrooms and provides the perfect place for guests to rest their heads.
