June/July 2022

Hello lovely readers, and welcome to another issue of Your Herts and Beds Wedding. It’s finally summer, my favourite time of year, and I’m really enjoying the warmer temperatures and sunny skies. There’s something so refreshing about the time of year, I have so much more energy and there’s even more to do. I personally love the brighter evenings and venturing outdoors more in the garden and enjoying family barbecues, beach days and picnics. This summer will be one of the best seasons we’ve had in a long while with weddings back in full swing. Plus, my best friend and colleague Melissa will be exchanging vows in July to the lovely Dave – I’m super excited! As a bridesmaid, there hasn’t been anything better than helping someone your care about plan such an important event. I’m so proud of what they have both achieved, and I know their day will be wonderful.

As we reach the busy wedding season, it’s great to see so many talented suppliers working hard to create dream events. This time of year is perfect for weddings, especially al fresco events, and the longer daylight means there’s no rush for taking memorable images – plus, I love a good golden-hour shot!

We’ve showcased some of the top companies from around the counties to help you plan the perfect day. It doesn’t matter what time of year you’re exchanging vows; our experts prove that stunning images can be captured in rain, snow or sunshine in our photography feature.

In this issue, our experts share key advice to help you create amazing looks for your dearest and dearest. We’ve got you covered, from bridesmaid, groomsmen and mother-of-the-bride inspiration.

If you’ve started searching for the perfect backdrop to your day, then check out our venue features where you’ll discover dream barn settings and properties located in east Hertfordshire.

That’s all from me; now sit back, relax and celebrate anything and everything wedding.

Happy planning!

Editor, Olivia x
