You’ll discover the latest trends, talented experts and plenty of showstopping inspiration. For those at the end of their planning journey, we have top tips and advice to ensure your day runs smoothly as well as last-minute touches to create wow-factor events.

Weddings are such joyful occasions, and there’s nothing more special than marrying your soulmate. For those that have been reading the last few issues, you’ll know that my best friend tied the knot this summer and what an incredible day it was. As a bridesmaid, it has been such a special experience helping a dear friend plan such an important event. Watching everything come together on the day was very emotional. I’ll never forget that moment when I watched the bride make her grand entrance – I had to fight back the tears as I couldn’t ruin my make-up! The ceremony was beautiful, with many heartwarming words shared. Overall, we had a fantastic day with plenty of pampering, memorable moments, excellent food and great entertainment. I spent the entire evening living it up on the dancefloor – you should see the videos!

Planning a wedding might seem like a scary or overwhelming experience, but we’re here to guide you through the whole process from the moment you get engaged to the honeymoon. That’s all from me; now sit back, relax and celebrate anything and everything wedding.

Happy planning!

Essendon Country Club

Situated in more than 400 acres of stunning Hertfordshire countryside, Essendon Country Club is the perfect location for weddings. The venue’s dedicated wedding planner will support couples every step of the way to ensure they receive their dream day. As guests enter the long driveway, they’ll travel through one of the two championship golf courses on-site, which offer a picturesque landscape for wedding photography. The large bridge across the lake is a firm favourite for those all-important couple shots. The beautiful 16th-century Grand Barn contains oak framing, rustic features and large windows that provide plenty of natural daylight.

There’s even a stunning terrace for drinks reception where guests can relax outside while enjoying the views. As no two weddings are the same, the venue offers flexible and bespoke tailored packages to accommodate any ideas, requirements and wedding themes. All areas at the property are licensed for ceremonies, including the glass conservatory that’s the perfect option for intimate nuptials with 15 to 30 people. Or why not opt for the Grand Barn’s upper level? This main space can accommodate 180 loved ones for the “I dos” and 80 for wedding breakfasts. Continue the celebrations in the main barn with 130 seated guests and 300 for the evenings. When couples book the venue for their wedding, they receive a complimentary food and wine tasting session and a free pre-wedding shoot on the grounds.
