Gatwards of Hitching offer beautiful wedding jewellery

The exterior of Gatwards of Hitching in Hertfordshire

Gatwards of Hitchin is based in Hertfordshire and offers couples fine jewellery and watches as well as giftware. With the aim of putting the sparkle into buying jewellery, the team has the knowledge and expertise to help customers choose the perfect piece and they provide exceptional customer service to ensure that the experience of buying from Gatwards is one to remember.

The company is a family-run jewellers in the UK and believe product knowledge is vital in this business as customers are investing large sums of money in jewellery for very special occasions. Charlotte Gatward says: “My favourite part of the job is being there when our customers commemorate the special moments in their lives. Whatever the occasion, we’re there to help make it special and we all enjoy a love story at Gatwards. We want pairs to go away with the items most suited to their needs, not necessarily the most expensive item in the shop.”

When couples get engaged, they love to open the champagne and offer the lovebirds a free photoshoot with local photographers. Everything offered to guests is hand-selected and quality checked by the experienced team before it is put into stock and displayed in the showroom. Charlotte adds: “If we do not think something is of a suitably high standard, we immediately send it back to our suppliers. We hope these items will be cherished for a lifetime and passed down through generations of the same family. We regularly serve several generations of the same family shopping.”

The company offers couples 20 percent off their wedding rings if they purchased their engagement rings from the business.

So why do we still call it a breakfast? According to Nick from Country House Weddings, the answer goes back centuries and is tied to religion, fasting and the way weddings were once celebrated in Britain. Breaking A Very Specific Fast The word "breakfast" does not originally mean a morning meal. It simply means breaking a fast.

RSVPing 'YES' to multiple weddings? Here's how to budget!

Attending weddings can be a joyous occasion, but it can also be expensive, particularly if you're invited to more than one over the course of the year. Costs such as new outfits, travel and accommodation, and gifts mean the overall expense of attending can quickly add up. Duncan Fortune, Head of Commercial at Tesco Bank, says: "Wedding season can be a significant expense for households. Planning ahead and setting a dedicated budget for celebrations can help spread the cost over several months, allowing people to make the most of the celebrations while keeping their finances on track."
