Dylans at The Kings Arms has been included in the Estrella Damm Top 100 for the second year running, climbing an incredible 22 places to number 72 in the respected list.

Housed in a beautiful 15th-century Tudor building on George Street in the Cathedral Quarter of St Albans, this neighbourhood gem has an emphasis on quality ingredients such as txuleta prime rib dairy cow and fresh Cornish day boat fish, as well as an extensive range of craft beer, specialist wines, and spirits.

Recently acclaimed as a place to eat one of the best steaks in the UK by Top Jaw and Sorted Food, its reputation for offering unpretentious but high-quality dining in a casual pub environment has grown over the past 12 months. It’s ‘the’ place to dine in St Albans with bookings for Sunday lunch now being taken two to three months ahead. It’s the ideal setting to meet with loved ones to plan weddings or pre-wedding date nights.

One of the key reasons for this continued success is Head Chef Josh Searle, a young, local talent who adapts the menu to make the most of the season’s best produce from small, local and family suppliers. Developing his own style of cooking while staying true to Dylan’s ethos of simplicity and quality, Josh cooks the kind of food everyone loves to eat.

Duncan Fortune, Head of Commercial at Tesco Bank, says: "Wedding season can be a significant expense for households. Planning ahead and setting a dedicated budget for celebrations can help spread the cost over several months, allowing people to make the most of the celebrations while keeping their finances on track."
