Voyager FlightSimulation at Luton International Airport

Have you ever dreamed of piloting a jetliner or helicopter? Voyager  FlightSimulation, the only centre of its kind based at London Luton International Airport, can turn that dream into a reality. With a state-of-the-art fixed-base flight simulation, people can experience the thrill of flying like never before. This experience is not just for aviation enthusiasts but is an ideal gift for grooms or couples who love to travel.

Howard Atkins and Paul Lang met several years ago whilst training to be instructors in the Boeing 737-800 flight simulator. It’s their mission to bring the fun of flying to everyone. Their instructors are patient,  approachable and friendly, combining years of experience and genuine enthusiasm. The company has two simulators: a jetliner and a helicopter. Their  Boeing 737-800 fixed-base simulator is a brand-new state-of-the-art simulator with a 220° wrap-around screen and 4K projectors. The Robinson R22 fixed-base helicopter simulator is made from a real airframe and has 4K projectors alongside a 180° wrap-around screen.

Voyager Flight Simulation is approximately a 15-minute’ walk from the main passenger terminal at London Luton. It has free car parking immediately outside the simulation centre. Voyager welcomes all levels of flight experience, from those with little or no experience to skilled pilots. On arrival, guests will be welcomed into a truly authentic experience with real-life fuselage and cockpit.

The team also offers one-to-one Flying Without Fear sessions for those anxious about air travel. There’s a separate meeting room for pre-flight briefing and corporate training and a breakout area for refreshments and socialising. Couples can combine their experience with a brunch, lunch or celebratory afternoon tea provided by the nearby catering company.

From best mates to distant relatives: Brits reveal the wedding gift hierarchy

How much should you spend on a wedding gift? It seems the answer depends on just how well you know the happy couple. New research from One4all Gift Cards has revealed that almost half of Brits (49%) would spend less on a wedding gift if they were not particularly close to the couple. The relationship came out ahead of travel and accommodation costs (38%) and paying for a hen or stag do (28%) when it comes to factors influencing how much guests are prepared to spend. For those closest to them, Brits consider an average of £77 per person to be an acceptable wedding gift. The most popular amount was between £50 and £100, selected by 43% of respondents, while 36% believe spending up to £50 is perfectly acceptable. Just 5% would spend more than £200.

Marriage law reform: what the Government’s proposals could mean for couples

Planning a wedding is fun, stressful, time consuming. Couples want a ceremony that reflects their taste, is reflective of their love for each other and feels unique. The current restrictions in place can sometimes fetter that. Long-awaited plans to modernise weddings law in England and Wales could give couples far greater freedom over where and how they marry.
