Little Mistress reveal the must-have bridesmaid dress colours for weddings this year

Fashion retailer Little Mistress has conducted new research looking at which colours and styles of bridesmaids' dresses will be most popular for bridal parties this year.

The most trending shades were neutrals and creams, which saw a 120% and 60% increase in recent Google searches. Copper was the second most popular colour, followed by the classic red, dark green, and yellow.

Catherine Chambers, head of e-Commerce and digital at Little Mistress, commented on the trends: "As typical wedding season is about to hit, we're relieved to see that restrictions have been lifted and weddings are steadily going back to normal. It's interesting to see which hues will be most popular and neutrals are an interesting choice given that white has long been considered a fashion faux pas at weddings. However, this will give a timeless and minimalistic feel to weddings. It also helps bring bridal parties closer together as one unit."
