De Vere reopens with Wellbeing at Heart

De Vere reopens with Wellbeing at Heart: Image 1

De Vere, a collection of historic mansion house estates and distinctive contemporary hotels, has launched new packages ahead of reopening on 10th July 2020, with 10% of each direct bedroom booking going to NHS Charities Together*. Ahead of re-opening, De Vere has launched its Wellbeing at Heart programme to ensure a healthy and safe stay for guests and a safe working environment for its team members.

From £179 per couple, or £229 for families, guests can book an overnight stay with a personally selected chilled drinks package, a delicious two-course takeaway dinner from in-house chefs, as well as a 'grab and go' breakfast.10% of the value of each direct bedroom booking, including VAT, will be paid to NHS Charities Together* which supports NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients. To give guests peace of mind and stress-free experience, all stays include flexible cancellation terms.

Located across the UK from Surrey to Cheshire, De Vere hotels are set within country estates and parkland, where guests can discover hidden temples, scenic lakes, sculptures, and breath-taking countryside views. Each property is on the doorstep of some of the country's most beautiful landscapes, offering the opportunity to explore the great British outdoors – perfect for a post-lockdown escape.  New outdoor games and picnic options will allow families to enjoy the hotels' beautiful surroundings and De Vere properties are pet friendly so the whole family can join in on the fun.
Many De Vere hotels have spacious family rooms including De Vere Cotswold Water Park where guests can enjoy their own space in a one or two bedroom Apartment or Family Suite, which offer a large lounge area and a private balcony with sweeping views of the lake and grounds. Guests can relax in their own private space, without having to step into the hotel, with their own kitchenette including cooker, microwave, and dishwasher along with cutlery and crockery.

De Vere's Wellbeing at Heart programme ensures a healthy and safe stay for guests and a safe working environment for its team members. With the support of ChemEco, De Vere has carefully crafted a range of new measures, from enhancing the already meticulous deep cleaning of bedrooms to thoughtful physical distancing measures inside and outside the hotels. This includes regularly sanitising public areas using jet action 'misting' technology which uses hard acting yet environmentally friendly solutions from ChemEco. When guests arrive at their room, they'll notice a 'clean seal' on their door to provide peace of mind that the room has been sanitised and that nobody else has entered following a deep clean.

Rooms will include wellbeing kits to provide guests with hand sanitiser, antibacterial wipes, a set of socks, gloves, and face mask, all contained in a sealed bag. Further details of Wellbeing at Heart and the new measures are available here: www.devere.co.uk/wellbeing.

Ellie Orton, Chief Executive, NHS Charities Together, said: "As businesses continue to slowly reopen, we are delighted that De Vere has elected to support NHS staff, volunteers and patients. The money raised will make a huge difference as we continue to help those directly affected by the pandemic but also as we help deal with the aftermath of COVID-19. Thank you to De Vere and everyone that takes advantage of this opportunity to have a break while also supporting our appeal."

Hotels in the portfolio include De Vere Latimer Estate, nestled in an Area of Outstanding Beauty, De Vere Cotswold Water Park, – surrounded by a nature reserve and beautiful lakes, De Vere Wokefield Estate which has an 18 hole championship golf course, De Vere Tortworth Court set within a 30 acre estate which includes a Victorian arboretum housing more than 300 plant and tree specimens, De Vere Beaumont Estate located within 44-acres of stunning grounds which includes natural ponds, manicured gardens and quirky sculptures, and De Vere Selsdon Estate which boasts 200-acres of impressive parkland, and is also home to a 18 hole championship golf course.

House of Janneke, a new lifestyle brand, launches Book of Special Days

The Book of Special Days is a keepsake journal that gives special moments a home. This isn't a diary. There are no rules, no schedules, no need to write in it every day.  There is a page for every day of the year, but no printed years. After a special day, you find the date, add the year and write down what made it worth remembering. Over time, this book will become something more: a living archive of your days, a weave of stories across the years, a place for little joys, victories big and small, laughter shared and milestones you cherish. It holds what you don't want to forget, a trove of the ordinary and the extraordinary, all treasured alike.
