Find out why St. Michael’s Manor is our venue of the week

The lovely exterior at St. Michael’s Manor hotel

St. Michael’s Manor hotel is located close to the city centre of St Albans, Hertfordshire, formerly the ancient city of Verulamium and near the famous Abbey Cathedral. The venue is the perfect romantic setting, with the orangery, two private function rooms, lounge, bar, terrace and
magnificent gardens and lake combining to provide the ideal location for any special day.

The venue is ideally suited for large functions, seating a maximum of 140 guests, or 150 guests for an evening event with a buffet, dancefloor and entertainment. With fabulous views over the garden and lake, this hotel is licenced for civil ceremonies for up to 140 guests. Situated on the ground, the spaces have plenty of natural daylight and direct access to the outside terrace area next to the lounge and bar – perfect for greeting guests or pre-dinner drinks and canapés.

WE LOVE…
The country-style manor hotel set in five acres of private English country gardens designed by the Newling Ward family. Aged rose gardens are surrounded by a cared for lawn against a backdrop of trees that are hundreds of years old.
