Situated in 160 acres of parkland, Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course is the perfect blend of elegance and modern design. With stunning high-ceilings complete with chandeliers and antique fireplaces, the spaces available will wow any guests.

Guests can easily travel to the venue with excellent transportation links nearby and 200 car parking spaces. As they drive through the parkland setting, they’ll find beautifully manicured Dutch gardens with fountains and a miniature maze.

The venue features two different locations, including the beautiful mansion house steeped in history that can offer a traditional feel for a big day for up to 96 day guests and 160 guests in the evening. The Apsley Suite provides a more contemporary feel and can accommodate up to 280 guests for a sit-down meal with a dancefloor – perfect for internal and external catered weddings.

Ceremony spaces include The Longman Suite (90) or The Dickinson Suite (96) which are both located in the manor house with beautiful views and complete with chandeliers and fireplaces. The large stone Manor Gazebo (96) is located in the manicured Dutch Manor Gardens while The Apsley Gazebo (400) is great for larger weddings with the option of a fantastic 360 guest view of the ceremony and is located in the Apsley Walled Landscaped Gardens.

Or why not opt for The Apsley Suite (400) which is perfect for large celebrations in a contemporary space with direct access to private gardens? Lastly, the Orangery Restaurant (120) features glass-panelled walls overlooking the beautiful Dutch Manor Gardens.

We love... When couples book the venue, they’ll receive a complimentary menu tasting included in the Classic and Elegance Package and a four-poster bridal suite for the night of the wedding.

From best mates to distant relatives: Brits reveal the wedding gift hierarchy

How much should you spend on a wedding gift? It seems the answer depends on just how well you know the happy couple. New research from One4all Gift Cards has revealed that almost half of Brits (49%) would spend less on a wedding gift if they were not particularly close to the couple. The relationship came out ahead of travel and accommodation costs (38%) and paying for a hen or stag do (28%) when it comes to factors influencing how much guests are prepared to spend. For those closest to them, Brits consider an average of £77 per person to be an acceptable wedding gift. The most popular amount was between £50 and £100, selected by 43% of respondents, while 36% believe spending up to £50 is perfectly acceptable. Just 5% would spend more than £200.
