Wedding dreams of being kings and queens of the castle for the big day? Lucky for you, this fairytale ending can come true as the UK is blessed with a whole host of romantic castle wedding venues.

Engagement ring specialists at Steven Stone analysed a comprehensive list of castles on wedding planning websites and using hashtag data from Instagram to reveal which venues has the highest number of posts to inspire your big-day wedding venue choice.

Warwick Castle, Warwickshire, is the most popular location on Instagram with 114,761 hashtags. Dating back to 1068, it's one of the oldest castles in the UK, rich in history and culture. Wedding packages here start from £110 per person and the venue can accommodate up to 130 guests.

In second place comes Leeds Castle, Kent, with 104,563 hashtags. From wedding garden parties to ceremonies in the lavish Maiden's Tower, couples have a plethora of options when getting wed here. To tie the knot here on a Saturday from May to September, prices start from £14,500 for 50 guests.

Hever Castle, also located In Kent, is the third most popular location for a fairy-tale wedding, racking up a staggering 74,422 hashtags. To get married here during high season on a Saturday, prices start from £7,900.

But new research has revealed that some UK cities are considerably more marriage-minded online than others. Manchester has emerged as the UK city with the highest level of marriage-related search interest relative to its population, according to research from Agilis. The city records an estimated 1,540.7 searches per 100,000 residents across terms relating to engagement rings, proposals, wedding planning, marriage advice and civil partnerships. Plymouth comes in second, with 1,435.6 searches per 100,000 residents, while Leeds takes third place with 1,343.9. Newcastle upon Tyne, Glasgow and Birmingham also feature strongly, with each recording more than 1,300 searches per 100,000 people.
