Amara Cake Boutique is offering a pick-me-up for couples who's wedding has been postponed

No need to feel sad on your postponed wedding day, how about spoiling each other with a scrumptious luxury treat box? Amara Cake Boutique is giving couples who had booked their cake with the company a luxury treat box with a cake and some other goodies.

Owner Sara Erasmus says: "One of my couples, Holly and Jason were due to get married mid-April. Despite their initial disappointment, Holly still wanted to celebrate on her postponed wedding day. She contacted me and asked if I would make her a mini-cake in one of the flavours they had chosen for their wedding. I made up a luxury treat box which they enjoyed as part of their celebration.

"I also sent gift boxes to my other couples. One particularly poignant couple, Alisha and Bhaumik are front-line medical staff and also had to postpone their wedding. The treat box was much appreciated by them and took their mind off their long gruelling hours – even if just for a few minutes."

Other lovebirds can now order their very own luxury treat box by going to the company's online shop, 10 per cent of every box sold is donated to NHS Charities Together.

Duncan Fortune, Head of Commercial at Tesco Bank, says: "Wedding season can be a significant expense for households. Planning ahead and setting a dedicated budget for celebrations can help spread the cost over several months, allowing people to make the most of the celebrations while keeping their finances on track."
